Pet Sitters

My affinity for animals began at a young age. My family vet joked that we were raising a mini zoo, and she wasn’t wrong! We had over 10 animals at a time. I grew up with dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, snakes and scorpions.
I began pet sitting for friends and family in 2012. After graduating Eckerd College in 2017, I began pet sitting throughTrusted House Sitters as I traveled along the East Coast. I then transitioned to working for a local pet sitting company which sparked my interest in making it a career. In 2021, I started building my clientele base and created my own pet sitting business. I am thankful to now be in a career I genuinely love. I look forward to seeing all of the animals we care for and I enjoy building relationships with my clients.
I have settled down in Deltona and I provide year-round pet care services to Deltona, DeBary, Orange City, South DeLand, and Lake Helen.

Growing up, I had several horses which I cared for and raced in local competitions. Raising horses and preparing them for races gave me a sense of responsibility at an early age. My love of animals carried into adulthood and I now have 10 animals of my own.
I have taught middle school science for 30 years and enjoyed teaching my students about animals. I kept reptiles and gerbils in my classroom to show students how to care for them. I have retired from teaching and enjoy caring for my own animals as well as others. I provide backup coverage for all locations.

I have always loved animals and have two cats of my own. I see them as my children and take great joy in caring for them! I spent time working at a cat cafe which helps adopt out cats that are taken from local kill shelters. I helped pair individuals with cats that would best fit their family. I fed, cleaned after, and played with the cats. I now work with my mom and sister as a pet sitter and provide backup coverage for all locations.

While I have always had a passion for animals, I’ve been caring for a range of animals professionally since 2018. While completing my degree in Organic Agriculture in Iowa, I worked at an animal shelter taking care of cats, dogs, rabbits, and everything in between. After graduating with my degree, I worked as a ranch hand in Missouri taking care of cattle, sheep, horses and dogs. Before moving to Florida in 2023, I managed a small community garden and a flock of free range chickens.
In my free time you can find me spending time in my garden, practicing yoga/meditation, or swimming in a local spring or beach.

My passion for working with animals began at a young age, around 10 years old. Although my connection with animals started even before then, it was during that time that I truly started working with them. My mother, who was a Practice Manager at an exotic animal hospital, would take me to work with her every day during the summer. It was during those summer days that I realized my calling in life - to work with animals.
Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of living with and caring for a wide variety of species. From the tiniest critters like hamsters, snakes, squirrels, and chameleons to larger animals like horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, and cats, I have experienced the joy and fulfillment of being surrounded by these incredible creatures.
Currently, I am working as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital, where I continue to dedicate myself to the well-being and care of animals. However, when I am not at work, my heart and time are devoted to my wonderful family. I am blessed with a loving husband, two amazing kids, three dogs, two cats, and even a squirrel!
Each day, I am grateful for the opportunity to meet new animals and make a positive impact in their lives. Caring for animals is not just a job for me, but a lifelong commitment that brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I am excited to continue this journey and make a difference for animals for many years to come.
